In My Arms
02:54
|
|||
Will we ever see the sun shine once more?
Will we ever feel it warm us at the door?
Tell me what to do to prove my love is true
And have you back...
Will I never feel the tears that you cry?
Will I never hear the music in your sigh?
Please don't be so sad, and know that I'll be glad
To have you back in my arms
Will we ever get to know what went wrong?
Will we ever know just why it took so long?
To help you heal the pain? And hear you laugh again
And have you back in my arms
My heart lies in you and my time is overdue
To have you back in my arms

Chasing Dreams
03:48
|
|||
Take a seat have a drink and relax and everything will be ok
I'll play some Smokey Robinson tunes, or would you rather
Marvin Gaye?
I'm coming on like you would not believe, cause I don't want
you to leave
Please don't go away from me now
Well it's not like these things are planned, I'm hoping
you would understand
and I'm never sure what to do next I could use
a helping hand
I've got a few more tricks right up my sleeve cause I don't
want you to leave
Please don't go away from me now
I'd rather go chasing dreams that won't come true
Help me out help me out help me out
save me from saving you
You're sinking down from the weight of it all
and wishing it would go away
and I'm here to make you try to forget and
make it like a holiday
I'm coming on like you would not believe cause I don't
want you to leave
Please don't go away from me now

Daydream Paradise
04:43
|
|||
In a daydream paradise
in a house just up the road
where anything we wanted
would come at any time
Then one cloudy day
appeared a man named Fate
and everyone in paradise
began to feel afraid
And then she said "It's in your head".
So Fate came around
and looked at what he'd found
and thought it must be magic,
thought he knew just what to do
And so we gathered 'round
in that magic paradise
and held each other tightly
as the sunlight fades away
And then she said "It's in your head".
I've never felt this way before
I'll never feel this way again
And then she said "It's in your head".

You Can't Go Home Again
03:29
|
|||
Well there ain't been much to laugh about since
they came and took away my innocence
and broke the seal on my naivety.
When she promises to write I feel the poison in her pen
it all just goes to show the world you can't go home again
And when daddy's little angel takes her final curtain call
she asks of those around here just to catch her when she falls
and me I'm still outside and flying well into the ground
with a memory now burned inside
a smile that can't be found.
Well I see right through your disguise
to your world of secrets and lies
to the things that you don't realize
Well I guess that I just can't go on if
you won't be my friend
with a promise knelt before you till we
reach the bitter end
We'll go dancing in the graveyard as the echoes sweetly so
echoes sweetly sound
Are you only seeing half the light
when your world is upside down?

Days Go By
04:18
|
|||
Things are moving faster and there's times I can't recall,
never been like this before
And don't forget to tell me when I'm headed for a fall
cause I can't see the way anymore
But if you don't wanna tell me maybe I don't wanna know
Oh no this hasn't been my year,
lost some friends along the way
But they'll be coming back
as long as you and I are here to help them out
along the way
As the Days Go By and the sunlight fades into night
Happy ever after so the story always goes..
we'll just have to wait and see
but somewhere in the distance
when that lonesome whistle blows loud enough
to stir the breeze
Then we'll just have to move along and get ourselves away
As the days go by and the sunlight fades into night into
night
We'll try it, try it one more time
must be getting close by now
To where it all seems so sublime
there's no need to know
just how it all seems so together when it's falling all
apart
As the days go by and the sunlight fades into night into
night.

See Me Again
04:55
|
|||
Another time will I see your face?
Smiles and tears and a gentle grace?
Please tell me all if this is true.
I miss the breeze blowing in your hair
I miss my heart beating from your stare
But most of all I miss you.
Come back and see me again
When will my loneliness end?
You're hedging bets of uncertainty,
and falling blind to what others see
You stand to fall right to the ground
Where others fail you could stand so tall,
and I will do anything at all
To help it all come around.
Come back and see me again
When will my loneliness end?
You're flying high like a whippoorwill
Into a dream that you can't fulfill
Don't let on more than you know
And let me know when you've had your fun
I'll tell the world that you're on the run
It's such a shame to see you go.
Come back and see me again
When will my loneliness end?

Fortress
06:08
|
|||
Tell me why I can't get you to stay 'neath the sun that
could brighten my day.
You didn't know what you'd want me to say
You didn't know it would get you someday.
You told me not to worry, you told me it's ok,
I see you built your fortress anyway.
Let the daylight shine through your hair
And take this soul of hopeless despair
From the hands of the angel that's torn from
The arms of a heaven that mourns.
And darkness now grows over the stillness of the night
I see you take your fortress to the light.
If you could teach me not to care
Then I'd take you most anywhere
But I don't think it's gonna work out
Quite that way tonight
Go away don't look in my eyes
I don't need another surprise
Tell me will we be found when it all
Comes back around?
I didn't need your beauty, I sure don't need your pain
Will we stand to lose our fortress in the rain?
If you could teach me not to care
Then I'd take you most anywhere
But I don't think it's gonna work out
Quite that way tonight
